We completely remodeled this small and outdated kitchen transforming it into an open light and bright kitchen. A beam was installed allowing us to open the wall that divided the kitchen from the dining room and living room. We replaced a Bay window with a regular window and created a larger opening providing cleaner lines and lighter open feel. The white cabinetry was custom made by our favorite Amish cabinet makers.
The long wall of cabinets that flow into the dining room space make for a sense of cohesiveness.
The kitchen is full of details and hidden nooks that contribute to both the form and function of the kitchen design. We installed a grey honed Soapstone with a beautiful white Julien Farm sink and its appealing wood cutting board. The Upper cabinets with recessed lighting provided added storage and luminosity to the kitchen, and were custom built into the angled ceiling making the unwanted detail disappear.
